Professor Stuart Walker has a background as a Consultant Cardiologist of 18 years standing and has held a range of senior leadership roles in the NHS. Before coming to UHBW in Feb 2022 he was appointed as MD, Deputy CEO and then Interim CEO at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Prior to that he was MD at Taunton and Somerset NHS FT, and then Chief Medical Officer at TSFT and Somerset Partnership FT. He was awarded the title of Honorary Professor by Cardiff University in 2021 and University of the West of England in 2023
