Prashant is a Consultant in Intensive Care & Acute Medicine at William Harvey Hospital. He is a member of the national FICE committee and is BSE accredited in trans-thoracic echocardiography. He is a FICE and CUSIC supervisor & mentor, being published in the use of echocardiography and POCUS in ICU and Acute Medicine. He has a particular interest in fluid responsiveness and cardiac output assessment using echocardiography having written a recent chapter in this topic for the book "Focused Intensive Care Ultrasound". He is an honorary senior lecturer at QMUL, involving giving lectures regarding the role of echocardiography in resuscitation and chairing tutorials on diagnostics and imaging modalities in resuscitation. He teaches and lectures at both regional and national ultrasound and echo courses. Prashant is currently leading on a national lung ultrasound and echo COVID study assessing the lung ultrasound features and the incidence of acute cardiomyopathy in COVID ICU patients
