Dr Mark Johnston is a Consultant Geriatrician at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS foundation Trust, he is the Peri-Operative care for Older People undergoing Surgery (POPS) Lead and Oncogeriatrician. He has clinical expertise in assessing high risk complex older people throughout the whole peri-operative journey, assisting with Shared Decision Making (SDM), Prehabilitation/optomisation and post-operative care. He is also the British Geriatric Society (BGS) POPS group Co-Chair and is passionate in quality improvement relating to surgical care and outcomes.
