Dr Day is a consultant in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine at the Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) trust. He is the perioperative lead for the OUH trust for the last three years and has overseen a process of standardisation and improved efficiency within the trust preoperative service. He also has BSE level 2 transthoracic echocardiography accreditation and POETs accreditation in cardiopulmonary exercise testing. He has developed a trust wide MDT for high risk surgical patients and a special interest trust for exercise testing.
