Hasan Haboubi

He graduated from Imperial College London in 2006 and trained in North West Thames before moving to Wales to undertake his higher specialist training as well as a PhD investigating molecular biomarkers in Barrett’s oesophagus. He completed fellowships in Digestive Oncology in Ulm, Germany as well as Upper GI Interventional endoscopy in St Thomas’ Hospital, London, before taking up an appointment as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospital Llandough in 2020 where he is clinical lead for Upper Gastrointestinal diseases and also runs the South Wales Barrett’s oesophagus endoscopic therapy service. He sits on the BSG Oesophageal Section Committee and has co-authored national guidelines on oesophageal dilatation, eosinophilic oesophagitis and sedation in endoscopy.
