Taking place on November 14-15, 2023, concurrently with the acclaimed Acute & General Medicine Conference, the Anaesthesia & Critical Care event bought together over 1,300 healthcare professionals specialising in anaesthesia and critical care at ExCeL London. The gathering provided a platform for education and professional development, featuring over 44 educational sessions. Attendees had the opportunity to tailor their experience, choosing between seminar styles session delivered by leading experts and hands on training covering ventilation, ultrasounds, and lung protection.

Tailored to inform anaesthetists, perioperative physicians, and intensive care professionals about the latest clinical updates in anaesthetic and intensive care. Equipping clinicians with the skills and knowledge needed to address patients’ needs and manage challenging presentations.

After a fantastic two days, some highlights from this year’s conference included:

  • Insights from Dr James Day, Consultant in Anaesthetics, and Intensive Care Medicine on perioperative anaesthesia.
  • Professor Sandy Jack, professor of Prehabilitation Medicine, exploring prehabilitation: current evidence, mechanisms, and implementation strategies.
  • Dr Luke Flower, Intensive Care Medicine Speciality Registrar and Clinical Research Fellow, discussing the care of transgender patients in ICU.

This event also featured a gather of over 200 exhibitors showcasing cutting edge products and services. This allowed clinicians to explore a diverse range of clinical innovations aimed at improving patient care and outcomes.
