We are so excited to announce the next Anaesthesia & Critical Care online education experience... The Anaesthesia & Critical Care Autumn E-Series happening on the 17th and 24th of September.

Our Autumn webinars are an opportunity for anaesthetists and critical care doctors to learn from the comfort of their home or office and still interact with doctors from all over the UK.
 
Attending the Autumn E-Series is free of charge for anaesthetists, intensivists and healthcare professionals.

DAY ONE |  17th September

Management of the patient with a Tracheostomy - Dr Katharine Hunt Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensive Care National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery UCLH

The presentation will focus on the evidence base on the management and weaning of patients with tracheostomies mainly focussing on the ward and community settings. It will also look at the complications that may occur, and how to recognise and mitigate them.

Can we improve the treatment of septic patients with hemodynamic parameters?*  -  Xavier MONNET, MD, PhD. Deputy of the Medical Intensive care Unit, Paris-Saclay University Hospitals

At the end of the session you will have a better understanding of how advanced hemodynamic monitoring may help guide the treatment of critical ill patients with sepsis.

The interactive session will cover:

  • An update on the latest research
  • Different techniques for fluid optimisation
  • Patient case examples, putting research into clinical practice
  • Summary and learnings
